The Altra Escalante is the newest Altra Ego shoe. Altra coined the term Zero Drop and was one of the first companies to develop natural running shoes. The Escalante builds on the winning recipe of Altra and takes it a level higher thanks to a sleek design, just the right amount of cushioning and a very comfortable ride overall. Undoubtedly one of the running shoes of 2017 so far!

The outsole of the Altra Escalante features the FootPod™ Technology that is supposed to adapt to the natural movement of the foot for better stability, support and balance. Good to note that the total stackheight of the Escalante amounts to 25 mm.
The Altra EGO™ with InnerFlex™ is a thin layer of cushioning that is supposed to provide a closer to ground feel.
The upper is made of stretchable Engineered Knit that gives a sock-like feel to the Altra Escalante.
